In Japan and Korea, harvest typically occurs November-March when water temperatures are coolest. Cut or pluck entire blades from nets; fresh blades should be processed within hours of harvest for best quality. Yields average 10-15 kg dried nori per 100 m² of net per season. In some operations, nets are re-deployed for successive harvests in the same season (2-3 crops possible).
